The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported 379 aftershocks following the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck off the coast of Cebu on Tuesday night.
As of 4 a.m. Wednesday, at least 100 of these aftershocks were located, with magnitudes ranging from 1.4 to 4.8.
The quake’s epicenter was traced 21 kilometers northeast of Bogo City, Cebu.
Intensity V was felt in Argao, Cebu; Sipalay City, Negros Occidental; Lapu-Lapu City; and Tacloban City.
