The Philippine Embassy in Qatar has advised Filipino nationals to remain indoors following an Israeli airstrike targeting senior Hamas leaders in Doha. In an advisory issued late Tuesday, the embassy urged Filipinos to stay calm, monitor credible news sources, and follow local authorities’ guidance. “Stay indoors and avoid public spaces unless absolutely necessary,” it said.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Israel targeted residential buildings housing members of Hamas’ Political Bureau in Doha, condemning the attack as a “cowardly” and “criminal assault” violating international laws. The ministry warned the strikes posed serious security risks to Qataris and residents.
Meanwhile, the Qatari Ministry of Interior declared the situation “safe” and urged the public to rely on official information.
The Israel Defense Forces claimed responsibility, stating they conducted a “precise strike” against Hamas leadership while taking measures to minimize civilian harm, including using precise munitions and additional intelligence.
