PhilHealth allows YAKAP members to transfer clinics until December 2026

MANILA – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has reminded members enrolled in its Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) that they can transfer to another accredited YAKAP clinic until December 2026.

The announcement gives beneficiaries an opportunity to change their registered healthcare provider based on their medical needs, preferred location, or accessibility of services.

Under the YAKAP program, qualified PhilHealth members can access primary healthcare services through accredited clinics, including medical consultations and other covered preventive healthcare services.

The program aims to strengthen primary healthcare delivery by encouraging members to seek early medical consultations, undergo health assessments, and receive appropriate medical care.

Members who wish to change their registered YAKAP clinic are encouraged to check PhilHealth’s official channels for the applicable transfer procedures and requirements.

PhilHealth also advises beneficiaries to ensure that their preferred healthcare facility is accredited under the program before requesting a transfer.

The transfer window will remain open until December 2026, giving members additional time to select a healthcare provider that better suits their needs.

The initiative supports PhilHealth’s continuing efforts to improve access to primary healthcare services under the country’s Universal Health Care program.
