Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized 29 kilograms of suspected shabu worth ₱197.2 million in a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City over the weekend.
In a statement Sunday, PDEA identified the suspects as alias “Jalil,” 44, and “Gracia,” 36, both residents of Cebu City. The operation took place around 5 p.m. Saturday inside an exclusive subdivision.
Authorities recovered 29 aluminum foil packs labeled “freeze-dried durian” with Chinese characters, each containing one kilogram of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
Also seized were mobile phones, marked buy-bust money, and a pink paper bag used in the transaction.
The suspects are now in PDEA custody. Charges are being prepared for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
