The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported major gains in the intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign, with record seizures and community clearing efforts from July 1, 2022, to August 31, 2025.
In its latest report, PDEA said more than ₱87.19 billion worth of drugs were confiscated, while 162,597 drug personalities were arrested in 120,787 operations conducted with the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Customs (BOC), and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Authorities also neutralized 1,582 drug hubs, including five clandestine laboratories and 1,577 drug dens. Confiscated drugs included 11,680.81 kilos of shabu, 100.57 kilos of cocaine, 144,927 ecstasy tablets, and 7,767.16 kilos of dried marijuana leaves and bricks.
The Barangay Drug Clearing Program freed 35,826 communities, with 29,633 declared drug-cleared and 6,193 drug-free.
At the higher levels of the trade, 10,342 high-value targets were arrested, including 152 elected officials, 55 uniformed personnel, 524 government employees, 190 foreign nationals, and 1,688 drug den maintainers.
“This is not just a tally of arrests and seizures, it is a testament to our unwavering commitment to dismantle the drug menace at every level,” said PDEA Director General, Usec. Isagani R. Nerez.
He stressed that the campaign struck both street pushers and syndicates “who hide behind power and influence,” underscoring that nearly ₱90 billion worth of seized drugs and tens of thousands of cleared barangays translate to “lives saved, families protected, and futures reclaimed.”
PDEA vowed to sustain the momentum through a holistic approach combining enforcement, prevention, education, and rehabilitation to achieve a safer, drug-free Bagong Pilipinas.
