The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has been recognized by the national government as one of the outstanding government-owned and -controlled corporations (GOCCs) during the 2025 GOCCs’ Day celebration held at Malacañang Palace.

The annual event, led by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and the Department of Finance (DOF), pays tribute to GOCCs that have made significant contributions to nation-building and the delivery of public services.

Representing PCSO at the ceremony, PCSO General Manager Mel Robles joined other officials from across the GOCC sector as the agency was commended for its vital role in supporting the government’s social welfare and healthcare programs.

According to the DOF, PCSO has remitted a total of P1.77 billion in dividends to the national government this year, contributing to the record P116.84 billion collected from 53 GOCCs. These funds are earmarked to boost economic development, strengthen the country’s healthcare system, and improve the overall quality of life for Filipino families.

“Because of your determination and compassion, we are able to help more Filipinos and extend our services to those who need them most,” President Marcos said during his address, lauding the efforts of GOCC employees nationwide.

In a further show of support, the President also announced the approval of salary increases for GOCC employees, along with a tiered medical allowance, recognizing their unwavering dedication to public service.

PCSO officials welcomed the recognition as both an honor and a challenge to continue improving their programs. “We will remain steadfast in our mission to deliver honest, efficient, and compassionate service to the Filipino people, in line with our vision for a stronger Bagong Pilipinas,” the agency said in a statement.
