PCSO brings healthcare closer to seniors in Pasig with medical, dental, wellness mission

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) brought its brand of public service straight to the heart of Pasig City as it joined the nationwide celebration of Elderly Filipino Week with a Medical, Dental, and Wellness Mission at the Doña Juana Subdivision Multi-Purpose Hall in Barangay Rosario last November 13, 2025.

The mission, led by Dr. Rouel Aparato and Dr. Juliet Diaz, mobilized PCSO’s full medical team to deliver free services tailored for senior citizens. Attendees received general medical check-ups, dental care, electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures, and essential medicines—ensuring that elderly residents had access to timely and comprehensive health support.

A total of 179 beneficiaries were served throughout the day. Of these, 140 seniors consulted medical professionals, 11 underwent dental extractions, and 28 received ECG services, providing them with a deeper look into their cardiovascular health. The mission was strengthened further through partnerships with private sector groups that helped ensure smooth delivery of services.

PCSO Director Imelda Papin was on hand to show support for the initiative, which was organized in coordination with the National Commission of Senior Citizens.

Through its Medical and Dental Mission Program, PCSO continues to strengthen its commitment to making health care accessible and equitable for communities across the country. By working closely with local government units, NGOs, and national agencies, PCSO aims to uphold its mandate of prioritizing the health and well-being of Filipinos—especially the elderly who need dedicated care the most.
