The Philippine Basketball Association is making Rizal province its home away from home as the Season 50 Philippine Cup takes flight.
After Sunday’s grand opener at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the league’s next four playdates will all unfold in Rizal, giving fans east of Metro Manila a front-row seat to Asia’s pioneering pro league.
With the Big Dome and Mall of Asia Arena booked for the holiday season, the spotlight shifts to the Ynares Center in Antipolo and the Ynares Center in Montalban—two venues long familiar with the roar of PBA crowds. The Ninoy Aquino Stadium, meanwhile, is being prepped for the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup later this year, while the PhilSports Arena remains under renovation.
For Rizaleños, the treat couldn’t be sweeter. Antipolo has hosted countless memorable battles through the years, and now Montalban is set to share in the golden anniversary celebration.
The action begins Wednesday at Ynares-Antipolo with a blockbuster double-header: Meralco takes on expansion team Titan Ultra Giant Risers, followed by powerhouse San Miguel Beer clashing with NLEX. The games then head to Montalban on Friday, return to Antipolo on Saturday, and continue the following Sunday.
But Rizal is just the start. Season 50 promises a true roadshow, with games lined up not only across the country but also overseas. The league will make stops in Ilocos Sur (Oct. 18), Dubai (Oct. 26), Cagayan de Oro (Nov. 15), and Bahrain (Dec. 15–17), making sure Filipino fans near and far get their share of the celebration.
The PBA is 50 years strong—and this golden season is hitting the road like never before.
