Asia’s most prestigious canine spectacle is set to make a grand comeback as the Philippine Circuit 2026 takes over the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum from January 20 to 25, turning the arena into a vibrant runway for the world’s finest dogs and handlers.

Now in its 12th year, the Philippine Circuit is organized by the Philippine Canine Club, Inc. (PCCI), a non-stock, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting responsible ownership, compassion, and global recognition for purebred dogs. Over the years, the event has grown into a must-see celebration that places the Philippine canine community firmly on the international map.

The 2026 edition raises the stakes even higher as it hosts the prestigious FCI World Grooming Competition, where elite groomers from around the world will demonstrate artistry, technical precision, and breed-specific mastery. From elegant silhouettes to intricate styling, the competition highlights grooming as both a craft and a crucial component of canine care.

Beyond grooming, the week-long showcase features 12 All-Breed Championship Dog Shows, officiated by respected international judges to ensure fair, healthy, and world-class competition. This year’s circuit boasts an impressive 7,440 entries across 91 breeds, reflecting the remarkable diversity and depth of the global dog community.

Crowd favorites are expected to draw cheers as Pembroke Welsh Corgis, French Bulldogs, Pomeranians, Golden Retrievers, and many more parade proudly alongside their handlers, filling the coliseum with energy, excitement, and wagging tails.

The Philippine Circuit also carries a legacy of excellence. Last year, an American Cocker Spaniel claimed the Grand Champion title, while a Borzoi captured the coveted Best in Show award. A Chow Chow earned Best in Show for Philippine-born dogs, underscoring the growing expertise and global competitiveness of local breeders.

“The Philippine Circuit is more than a competition,” said Irene L. Jose, chief operating officer of Uniprom Inc. “It’s a celebration of the bond between humans and dogs. It brings together a community united by their love and respect for purebred dogs.”

Education remains a key pillar of the event, particularly in promoting proper dog grooming as an essential aspect of health and hygiene. Regular grooming helps prevent parasites, manage skin conditions, and detect early signs of health issues—making it far more than a cosmetic practice.

Through its Groomers Certification program, PCCI continues to professionalize the local grooming industry by offering seminars and training that equip groomers with globally aligned skills and standards.

PCCI is also the Philippines’ sole member of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), the Brussels-based international federation of kennel clubs, reinforcing its role as the country’s official registering body for purebred dogs.

With world-class competition, education, and community spirit all under one roof, the Philippine Circuit 2026 promises six days of unforgettable moments for dog lovers, breeders, and enthusiasts alike.
