Former ‘80s matinee idol Patrick Dela Rosa is now enjoying a quiet, simple life far from the limelight, nearly two decades after leaving showbiz.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, Dela Rosa shared that he and his family are now based in California, where he runs his own business.
“So now, nasa business na ako, so based na ako sa California… I would say iba na talaga ang buhay ko ngayon… mas gusto ko ngayon dahil mas simple. ‘Di katulad nung artista pa [ako]. I can go anywhere, I can walk anywhere, so ayun… nag-iba na buhay ko ngayon dahil naging negosyante na ako ngayon,” he said.
When asked about a possible comeback, Dela Rosa was firm in his answer.
“Done na. Totally done na. I’m done na with the showbiz. At this point in time, mas happy ako,” he said.
As the Philippines prepares for the upcoming midterm elections, Dela Rosa also gave a heartfelt message to his fellow Filipinos, encouraging them to choose wisely.
