Palo Alto Networks has unveiled Prisma AIRS 2.0, its most advanced platform upgrade yet, setting a new standard for securing the fast-growing world of artificial intelligence. The launch marks the full integration of Protect AI, recently acquired by the company, making Prisma AIRS 2.0 the industry’s most comprehensive AI security solution to date.

As enterprises race to integrate AI into their operations, the security gap is widening. While 78 percent of organizations are already adopting AI to transform their business, only six percent have adequate safeguards in place. Prisma AIRS 2.0 directly addresses this critical gap by securing every layer of enterprise AI—from autonomous agents and generative models to the data and users that power them.

“AI is transforming every enterprise, creating extraordinary opportunities and new risks,” said Anand Oswal, Executive Vice President of Network Security at Palo Alto Networks. “Prisma AIRS 2.0 bridges that gap, uniting deep model inspection, real-time agent defense, and continuous red teaming in a single platform. We’re redefining what it means to secure AI at scale by turning security into an accelerator for innovation, not an obstacle.”

Prisma AIRS 2.0 connects every stage of the AI lifecycle, combining deep inspection of models in development with real-time defense of AI agents in production. The system is continuously tested by autonomous AI “red teams” designed to mimic real attackers, ensuring every layer of protection is battle-ready. With this approach, enterprises gain the visibility, control, and assurance needed to deploy AI safely and confidently.

Already adopted by major organizations in finance, healthcare, and government, Prisma AIRS 2.0 enhances AI protection through three key security modules:

AI Agent Security: Shields the growing “autonomous workforce” of AI agents by preventing prompt injections, tool misuse, and rogue agent behavior. It identifies and secures both authorized and unsanctioned (“Shadow AI”) agents, giving enterprises full visibility and control.

AI Red Teaming: Operates as a continuous, automated AI adversary that launches more than 500 specialized attacks to uncover vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. Unlike periodic testing, Prisma AIRS provides nonstop, context-aware red teaming to proactively harden AI systems.

AI Model Security: Performs in-depth analysis of model architectures to detect threats that traditional scanners miss, such as hidden backdoors, data poisoning, and malicious code embedded in model layers. It also generates a detailed “bill of materials” for each AI model—covering datasets, licenses, and dependencies—to strengthen governance, compliance, and trust.

Looking ahead, Palo Alto Networks envisions a future where AI-driven innovation and airtight security go hand in hand. Beyond Prisma AIRS 2.0, the company continues to advance its defenses with solutions like Cortex AgentiX for autonomous workforce protection, secure browsers for endpoint safety, and long-term initiatives in quantum readiness.

With Prisma AIRS 2.0, Palo Alto Networks is redefining the landscape of AI security—empowering enterprises to innovate boldly, deploy responsibly, and protect their digital future with confidence.
