Giving back is now easier and more accessible for Filipinos as the Palawan Group of Companies partners with GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) to introduce zero-fee digital donations through PalawanPay, making it faster and more convenient to support communities in need.

Powered by QR Ph technology and offered completely free of charge, the initiative transforms PalawanPay into one of GMA Kapuso Foundation’s key donation channels, allowing Filipinos to extend help anytime and anywhere with just a quick QR scan. The partnership reflects deeply rooted Filipino values of malasakit and bayanihan, using digital innovation to make acts of generosity more inclusive and accessible.

Palawan Group of Companies Deputy Chairman and Co-Founder Angelita M. Castro emphasized trust and accountability in directing donations to the GMA Kapuso Foundation, ensuring every peso reaches communities in need.

The collaboration was formally launched through a ceremonial signing, marking a milestone in modernizing charitable giving in the country. By eliminating transaction fees, every peso donated goes directly to programs that support disaster response, healthcare missions, education, and livelihood initiatives—ensuring maximum impact for beneficiaries.

“We at the Palawan Group recognize the importance of trust, accountability, and integrity,” said Palawan Group of Companies Co-Founder and Deputy Chairman Angelita M. Castro.

“Funds disbursed for the programs of the GMA Kapuso Foundation are directed with purpose, ensuring that every contribution reaches the communities and individuals who need it most. Behind every peso is a story of resilience, recovery, and hope,” she added.

The move also expands opportunities for GMA Kapuso Foundation to reach more donors while simplifying how Filipinos can participate in humanitarian initiatives. Supporters who previously relied on traditional donation methods can now contribute seamlessly through digital and physical channels.

GMA Kapuso Foundation Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rikki Escudero-Catibog emphasized the value of partnering with organizations capable of reaching underserved communities nationwide, noting the strong alignment between both organizations’ missions—particularly in supporting education and empowering Filipino learners.

Palawan Group Chief Business Development Officer Lisa Lou Castro-Sabado highlighted that partnerships have long been central to the company’s mission of creating meaningful social impact.

“At the Palawan Group of Companies, partnerships have always been at the heart of what we do. They are not formed merely to expand our reach or grow our business, but to serve a deeper purpose of uplifting our nation,” Castro-Sabado said.

United under the shared commitment of “Serbisyong Totoong Maaasahan at may Malasakit,” both organizations aim to strengthen a culture of giving that is rooted in compassion, accessibility, and genuine service to communities across the country.

Through technology and shared purpose, the partnership between Palawan Group of Companies and GMA Kapuso Foundation is opening more doors for Filipinos to make a difference—proving that even the smallest act of generosity can help create meaningful change.
