Malacañang assured the public on Wednesday that the Marcos administration will continue working hard to provide Filipinos with a more comfortable life.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro made the statement following the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from June 25 to 29, which showed that 35% of Filipinos said their quality of life improved compared to a year ago.
“It is definitely good news. The administration welcomes the result of the survey,” Castro said. “And Filipinos can rest assured that their government will continue to work hard to improve the condition and quality of life of every citizen, especially those who need it most.”
According to the SWS poll, the number of “gainers” — or those whose lives improved — slightly increased from 34% in April 2025. Meanwhile, 42% said their lives stayed the same, and 23% were classified as “losers” as their lives worsened.
The latest results produced a Net Gainers score of “very high” +12, up from April’s “high” +5 and April 11-15’s “fair” -1. This is the highest rating since December 2024’s “very high” +13, SWS reported.
Regionally, the highest Net Gainers score was recorded in the Visayas at an “excellent” +22 (up from “fair” 0), followed by Mindanao at “very high” +16 (from “fair” -3), Metro Manila at “very high” +10 (from “fair” -1), and Balance Luzon at “high” +6 (down from “very high” +12).
The survey interviewed 1,200 adults nationwide, with 300 respondents each from Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. The sampling error margins were ±3% nationwide and ±6% per region.
