Malacañang said Tuesday that authorities would look into alleged violations linked to the Iglesia ni Cristo gathering along Edsa in Quezon City.
The statement came after the Quezon City government and the Philippine National Police said the rally near Edsa-White Plains had no permit.
As of writing, the PNP estimated the crowd at around 12,000.
President Marcos earlier skipped two scheduled engagements to monitor developments related to the rally, which caused heavy traffic and disruption in the area.
Police said security and traffic management measures remained in place as authorities continued to assess the situation.
The National Capital Region Police Office said four individuals were arrested during the gathering.
One of those arrested allegedly drove a bus back and forth along the road, resulting in a police officer being trapped, according to authorities.
The rally came amid reports of a possible plunder complaint against Sen. Rodante Marcoleta over an alleged undeclared Php 75 million donation during his 2025 senatorial campaign. Former congressman Mike Defensor was also reportedly present at the gathering.
