NEW PMAAAI CENTER. PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco leads the blessing and inauguration of the PMAAAI Center for Leadership and Excellence at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alejandro H. Tengco on Tuesday led the blessing and inauguration of the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc. Center for Leadership and Excellence, marking a major milestone for the country’s premier military alumni organization.

Located at Fort Bonifacio in Taguig, the P600-million mid-rise, multipurpose facility is set to become the new home of the PMAAAI, housing its offices while serving as a hub for leadership development, learning, and fellowship among PMA alumni. The project was funded through the Newport World Resorts Foundation, with PAGCOR’s approval and support granted in 2024.

In his remarks, Tengco highlighted the speed with which the project moved from concept to completion, noting that only six months had passed since the launch of the second phase of construction in June.

“Today, we gather not to imagine what could be, but to inaugurate what now stands before us: the PMAAAI Center of Leadership and Excellence,” Tengco said, underscoring the significance of turning a long-held vision into a tangible institution.

He expressed PAGCOR’s appreciation for being part of the project, citing the vital role played by the Newport World Resorts Foundation in bringing it to fruition. Tengco added that the initiative stands as clear evidence of how nation-building succeeds when the public and private sectors work in partnership.

“The Newport World Resorts Foundation’s support reminds us that nation-building is not the government’s task alone, but a shared responsibility among all sectors of society,” he said.

Newport World Resorts Foundation Inc. Chairman and President Nilo Thaddeus P. Rodriguez congratulated the PMAAAI on the completion of the center, describing the project as a testament to the strength of collaboration when goals are aligned. He expressed hope that the facility would serve as a lasting venue for learning, leadership formation, and service.

During the event, Tengco also announced PAGCOR’s continued support for the PMA, committing assistance for two major projects next year: the construction of the academy’s first Warfare Laboratory at the PMA General Hospital and the reconstruction of the four-story PMA Processing Center at the V. Luna Medical Center.

For PMAAAI Chairman and CEO Admiral Ramon Punzalan, the new center fulfills a long-standing aspiration of the PMA alumni community and reinforces their enduring commitment to leadership and public service.

“What we inaugurated this morning is more than a structure,” Punzalan said. “It is a place for leadership rooted in values, excellence, and faithful service to God, country, and people.”
