The Pag-IBIG Fund showcased its ongoing programs and recent achievements aimed at providing better benefits and affordable housing opportunities for Filipino workers.
“Since Pag-IBIG is the Fund of Filipino workers, who are the owners of the Fund, we are committed to doing everything we can to create programs that our members can truly benefit from,” Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene Acosta said during a Kapihan at the Manila Hotel on Wednesday.
“Along with the rest of Lingkod Pag-IBIG, we serve our members with professionalism, integrity, excellence, and a deep commitment to service,” she added.
Acosta was joined by former senator Joey Lina, who discussed the agency’s efforts to make homeownership more attainable. Lina authored the Senate version of Republic Act 7742, which reinstated mandatory Pag-IBIG membership in 1995 after years of being voluntary, strengthening the Fund’s sustainability and expanding its coverage.
Among its key programs is the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Program, which offers a 3 percent subsidized interest rate to make home loans more affordable, especially for minimum and low-wage earners.
The agency is also running its Acquired Assets Super Sale, providing discounts of up to 40 percent until December and giving current occupants options to settle concerns and become legitimate homeowners.
Pag-IBIG also recorded its highest-ever January-to-June performance in 2025, with PHP1.14 trillion in total assets and PHP33.32 billion in net income in the first half of the year.
