Aircraft from the Philippine Air Force (PAF), in collaboration with the Indonesian National Armed Forces, on November 4 transported essential family food packs to remote communities in the Bicol region devastated by recent typhoons.
According to PAF spokesperson, Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo, in a statement on Tuesday, the food packs were airlifted to the remote islands of Calaguas in Camarines Norte and Butawanan in Camarines Sur.
“This mission delivered essential food supplies to communities affected by the onslaught of STS (Severe Tropical Storm) Kristine. Additionally, a PAF C-130 aircraft transported further essential supplies to Naga Airport, which serves as a vital distribution hub for the ongoing relief efforts in affected areas,” she added.
Castillo emphasized that these humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations underscore the strong partnership between the Philippines and Indonesia, demonstrating both nations’ commitment to delivering timely assistance in times of crisis.
