Pacers hand Wizards 11th straight loss

The Indiana Pacers pulled away late to hand the Washington Wizards their 11th consecutive loss, securing a 115-103 victory on Sunday.

Pascal Siakam scored 22 points and Tyrese Haliburton added 21 to lead the Pacers, while Moses Brown came off the bench for 15 points, and Myles Turner recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Washington, missing leading scorer Jordan Poole due to hip soreness, was led by Alexandre Sarr, who posted 17 points and 14 rebounds. Bilal Coulibaly also contributed 17 points, while Corey Kispert, Malcolm Brogdon, and Kyshawn George each had 15.

The game remained close until the fourth quarter. After the Wizards closed to within two points, 98-96, early in the final period, Siakam’s three-pointer gave Indiana a 103-96 lead with 8:06 remaining. Obi Toppin later hit a crucial three to push the lead to 108-100, and Siakam’s layup sealed the win.

Washington shot 45.6% from the field, including 31.4% from three-point range. The Pacers finished at 47.7%, hitting 12 of 27 attempts from beyond the arc, with Haliburton making five of his 11 attempts.

The game was tight in the first half, with 10 lead changes and the Wizards heading to the locker room up 59-57.

Brown led all scorers with 11 points for Indiana in the first half, while four Wizards — Kispert, Coulibaly, Brogdon, and George — had 10 points each.
