The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported that at least 148,000 individuals were apprehended in Metro Manila for violating local ordinances in the first 24 days of 2025, generating P42.3 million in fines.
Violations include smoking and drinking in public places (51,278 cases), roaming the streets without shirts (15,788), curfew breaches by minors (15,699), and illegal garbage dumping (15,483).
Other offenses included road obstructions (1,841), use of karaoke beyond allowed hours (1,633), vandalism (253), and traffic violations (44,128).
The Southern Police District led in enforcement with 75,148 apprehensions, followed by the Northern (43,897), Quezon City (13,419), Eastern (10,407), and Manila (5,340) Police Districts.
