The Northern Police District (NPD) arrested five wanted individuals, including two listed among its top most wanted persons, during a series of Warrant Day operations in northern Metro Manila and nearby areas.
NPD Director Brig. Gen. Benliner Capili said the operations resulted in the arrest of two top most wanted persons and three other wanted individuals as part of the district’s intensified campaign against criminality.
Among those arrested was a 43-year-old construction worker wanted for rape, who was apprehended by joint operatives of the Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) in San Mateo, Rizal, on November 1, 2026.
According to the NPD, the suspect was arrested at approximately 12:15 p.m. in front of San Mateo Medical Center in Barangay Ampid II.
The operation was conducted by personnel from the VCPS Warrant and Subpoena Section and Women and Children Protection Desk.
Police identified the suspect as the No. 6 regional-level most wanted person of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), No. 4 district-level most wanted person of the NPD, and No. 4 station-level most wanted person of the VCPS.
The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant for rape under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code.
The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 270 in Valenzuela City on December 16, 2021, under Criminal Case No. 1578-V-21, with no bail recommended.
Following his arrest, the suspect was brought to the Valenzuela City Medical Center for a medical examination before being transferred to the VCPS custodial facility for detention and proper legal disposition.
In a separate operation, personnel from the Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) arrested a 34-year-old man wanted for drug-related offenses.
The suspect, a resident of Barangay NBBS Proper in Navotas City, was apprehended at approximately 9:10 a.m. on November 1 along Bacog Street in Barangay Daanghari.
Police said the man was ranked No. 8 on the district-level most wanted list and No. 10 on the station-level list for November 2026.
He was arrested under a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 287 in Navotas City on October 26, 2026, for two counts of violating Section 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The warrant was issued for the service of sentence under Criminal Case Nos. N24-775/777-CR.
The suspect was subsequently detained at the NCPS custodial facility pending the submission of the return of the warrant to the issuing court.
The NPD did not provide further details regarding the identities, alleged offenses, or circumstances surrounding the arrests of the three other wanted individuals.
Capili said the district remains committed to strengthening law enforcement operations through increased police visibility, rapid response to criminal incidents, and sustained operations against wanted persons.
The NPD added that its Warrant Day operations form part of its efforts to improve public safety, maintain peace and order, and ensure that individuals facing criminal charges or serving court-imposed sentences are brought before the proper authorities.
Authorities said similar operations would continue across the district’s areas of responsibility as part of its ongoing campaign against criminality.
