Several lanes along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) will be temporarily closed to allow maintenance and improvement works, NLEx Corp. announced Wednesday.

The closures will affect the northbound lanes heading to Bulacan, Pampanga, and the Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx).

On Jan. 31 from 10 p.m. to Feb. 1 at 4 a.m., Lane 1 (leftmost lane) after Balintawak Toll Plaza between KM 12+500 and KM 13+500 will be closed.

Another closure will occur on Feb. 2 from 10 p.m. to Feb. 3 at 4 a.m., affecting Lane 1 at the Bocaue Northbound area near KM 26+000 to 28+000.

Westbound traffic heading to the NLEx Harbor Link interchange will also experience Lane 1 closure after Mindanao Toll Plaza from 10 p.m. of Jan. 30 until 4 a.m. of Jan. 31.

NLEx Corp. reminded motorists to plan their trips accordingly and expect possible traffic delays in affected sections.

The company previously implemented similar temporary lane closures earlier this month for system enhancement works along the expressway.
