New ‘grocery’ names linked to alleged misuse of OVP funds

House Deputy Majority Leader Paolo Ortega V has revealed another set of alleged fake names linked to the ₱500 million confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

Dubbed as “Team Grocery” due to their resemblance to market goods, the names include Mico Harina, Patty Ting, Ralph Josh Bacon, Sala Casim, and Beverly Claire Pampano. Ortega stated that these individuals do not have any records with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), raising further concerns about the disbursement of public funds.

This revelation follows last week’s exposé of another list of questionable names, which Ortega called “Team Amoy Asim.” That group allegedly received funds from the OVP and included names like Amoy Liu, Fernand Amuy, and Joug De Asim.

The allegations have intensified scrutiny over the OVP’s handling of its confidential funds, sparking calls for deeper investigations into the reported anomalies.
