The National Dairy Administration (NDA) is set to open five new stock farms this April to expand local milk production, according to Administrator Marcos Antonius T. Andaya. Each facility can accommodate up to 50 cows, strengthening the country’s dairy industry.
The stock farms will be established in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija; Ubay, Bohol; Malaybalay, Bukidnon; Carmen, Cotabato; and Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. The NDA is also evaluating potential sites in Isabela and Palawan for further expansion.
This initiative aligns with the NDA’s goal of achieving a 2.5% milk-sufficiency target for the year, increasing milk production and creating more opportunities for local farmers and businesses in the dairy sector.
