NCRPO VOWS RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF CRIMINALS FOLLOWING MANDALUYONG HOMICIDE ARREST

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) vowed to intensify its efforts against criminal activities following the arrest of the primary suspect in a robbery with homicide case involving a 23-year-old online cellphone seller in Mandaluyong City.

NCRPO Acting Regional Director PBGen. Christopher N. Abrahano commended the Eastern Police District (EPD) for tracking down and arresting the suspect on November 5 through CCTV footage analysis, intelligence gathering, and coordination among police units.

The incident occurred on November 1 during an online selling transaction, when the suspect allegedly stole the victim’s cellphone. The victim attempted to recover his belongings by holding onto the suspect’s SUV but fell and sustained fatal injuries.

Abrahano directed police district directors and station commanders to strengthen investigations, maximize digital evidence and intelligence resources, and coordinate across jurisdictions to ensure that suspects in serious crimes are brought to justice.

He also reminded the public to exercise caution during face-to-face online transactions, choose safe and populated meeting places, and prioritize personal safety rather than risking their lives to recover stolen belongings.
