NCRPO deploys over 2K personnel to secure  Nov. 30 anti-corruption protests

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) deployed a total of 2,018 police personnel across key areas of Metro Manila on November 30 to secure simultaneous protest actions against corruption.

The deployment aimed to ensure peace and order while maintaining maximum tolerance as various groups convened for rallies, including the “Trillion Peso March” and “Baha sa Luneta 2.0” demonstrations.

According to data released by the NCRPO, the police presence was concentrated in three major protest locations:

• White Plains Avenue: The largest deployment of 1,057 police officers was stationed here, where approximately 5,000 participants had gathered. Groups present included the Trillion Peso March Movement, Akbayan Partylist, and various church and school-based organizations.

• San Sebastian, Recto: A contingent of 535 personnel monitored around 200 individuals from youth groups.

• Roxas Boulevard, Ermita: Near Kilometer Zero, 426 officers were deployed as approximately 3,000 protesters assembled.

The NCRPO stated that the deployment was crucial for managing the large crowds and ensuring the safety of both protesters and the general public throughout the day’s activities.
