The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Tuesday denied social media claims that Metro Manila police officers would be placed under a “one-week duty, two-weeks off” work arrangement.
The NCRPO said the claim stemmed from a Facebook post featuring what it described as an altered image of newly installed officer in charge Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano.
“These reports are entirely false and do not reflect any officially implemented policy,” the NCRPO said.
The regional police office stressed that existing policies covering personnel welfare and work arrangements remain in effect.
It also assured the public that police deployment and response operations across Metro Manila remain unaffected by the false information.
The NCRPO urged both police personnel and the public to rely on its official communication channels for announcements and to avoid sharing unverified information circulating online.
Abrahano was named NCRPO officer in charge on Sunday, succeeding Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin, who retired after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 56.
