The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) rescued three minors and one adult during a series of coordinated operations targeting child exploitation and trafficking in Metro Manila and Rizal province.

The bureau said the operations were carried out on February 19, 2026, by the NBI Human Trafficking and Related Crimes Division, which deployed multiple teams to Valenzuela City, Angono, and Binangonan.

Agents served search warrants and conducted rescue operations against a network suspected of trafficking and child sexual exploitation.

All four victims were placed under the protective custody of local social welfare offices in Angono and Binangonan for immediate assistance and aftercare.

During the operation in Valenzuela City, investigators seized electronic devices containing child sexual abuse and exploitation materials, the NBI said.

Initial findings also pointed to a foreign connection, with investigators uncovering links to a Filipino individual allegedly supplying illegal materials to a contact based in Germany.

The NBI said the operation was carried out with support from the Department of Justice (DOJ) through the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking and Cyber-TIP, which provided legal and administrative assistance.

Non-government organizations and local government units also assisted in the operation, helping ensure the rescued victims received immediate care and protection, the bureau added.
