Larry Muyang and Archie Concepcion are back in PBA action after being officially activated by the Converge FiberXers ahead of their Wednesday clash with Terrafirma at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Both players previously suited up for different teams before making waves in the MPBL with the two-time defending champions, Pampanga Giant Lanterns. Muyang, once a key frontcourt piece for Phoenix, and Concepcion, a high-flying guard who had a stint with Blackwater, are now set for another shot at the pros.
Joining them is rookie free agent Jaycee Clemente, a former Phoenix draftee (fourth round, Season 48) who also played for Pampanga in the regional league.
To make room for the trio, Converge placed Kobe Monje on the injured/reserve list and Buenaventura Raflores on the unrestricted free agent list (with rights to salary). Their activation makes all three eligible to play against the Dyip.
Converge (1-1) looks to bounce back from a 110-103 defeat to TNT in Ilagan, Isabela, while Terrafirma, also at 1-1, is coming off a confidence-boosting 97-91 upset over NLEX.
In another roster update, the NLEX Road Warriors have signed rookie big man John Lorenz Capulong ahead of their matchup with Phoenix. The 6-foot-6 bruiser from Arellano University was a third-round pick in the Season 50 Draft.
To accommodate Capulong, the Road Warriors moved veteran Dave Marcelo to the injured/reserve list and transferred Mike Miranda to the unrestricted free agent list (with rights to salary). Both NLEX and Phoenix enter the contest with identical 1-1 records.
