The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) implemented a provisional service on Tuesday morning, November 18, 2025, after the discovery of a technical issue on the railway line.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced in a social media advisory that the mechanical problem was identified at 5:56 a.m. between the Santolan and Ortigas interstations, affecting the southbound track.

As a safety measure, provisional train operations were restricted to the segment between Shaw Boulevard Station and Taft Avenue Station. As of 6:30 a.m., five trains were running within the limited route.

The DOTr confirmed that maintenance teams were immediately deployed to the site to conduct safety checks and were “actively working to restore full service efficiency as quickly and safely as possible.”

The agency offered an apology to the riding public for the inconvenience caused by the disruption.
