The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has issued a warning to the public regarding a fake announcement about class suspensions, urging social media users to be critical and fact-check the content they post and share.
In a Facebook post, the MMDA clarified that the reported announcement regarding class suspension for July 14, Monday, was false. “Peke at hindi galing sa Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang anunsiyo hinggil sa umano’y class suspension bukas, Hulyo 14,” the agency stated on Sunday.
(The announcement regarding the alleged class suspension tomorrow, July 14, is fake and does not come from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.)
The MMDA advised social media users to only share verified news and information from official government websites, social media accounts, and legitimate news outlets.
