Great news for thousands of students in Manila. The local government has officially signed off on the payroll for student allowances benefiting 9,926 college students from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), as well as hundreds of senior high school students from Pres. Corazon Aquino Senior High School and Quirino Senior High School.

For the months of April to May 2025, each PLM college student will receive a total of P2,000 (P1,000 per month) under the city’s student support program. The total allocation for this round of aid reaches P19.852 million.

In addition, senior high school students are also getting a boost. A separate payroll has been approved for:

  • 273 students from Pres. Corazon Aquino Senior High School for January 2025
  • 209 students from Quirino Senior High School for March 2025

Each senior high school beneficiary will receive P500 per month.

This initiative reflects the Manila city government’s ongoing commitment to supporting its youth in their pursuit of education by easing financial burdens through monthly allowances.
