MMDA suspends expanded number coding on Election Day

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Thursday the suspension of the expanded number coding scheme on May 12, Election Day.

In an advisory, the MMDA urged the public to plan their trips ahead, drive safely, and adhere to road regulations.

Malacañang declared May 12 as a nationwide holiday to allow citizens to fully exercise their right to vote. President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. signed Proclamation No. 878 on May 6, following a request from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to ensure smooth voting during Eleksyon 2025.
