The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Flood Management Team, together with beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program, conducted a cleanup operation along Tuntong Creek in Barangay Manuyo Dos, Las Piñas City.

The operation covered a 30-meter stretch of the creek, where workers collected approximately eight cubic meters of garbage, debris, and other waste materials.

According to the MMDA, the cleanup aims to improve water flow, prevent clogging in drainage systems, and reduce the risk of flooding in surrounding communities, particularly during heavy rainfall.

The activity forms part of the agency’s continuing efforts to maintain waterways and strengthen flood prevention measures across Metro Manila.
