Meralco stretched its winning streak to three after downing San Miguel Beer, 100-93, Saturday night in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Candon City Arena in Ilocos Sur.
It was once again a display of the Bolts’ dreaded defense, holding back their opponent to less than 100 points in earning their seventh win in 10 games.
Meralco now shares the second spot with NorthPort, Converge and Eastern, while keeping the Beermen at 4-5.
Chris Banchero led Meralco with 19 points.
