Maynilad files preliminary prospectus for planned IPO

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) has officially filed its preliminary prospectus with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), marking a key milestone in its planned initial public offering (IPO). The submission sets the stage for the company’s investor roadshow, expected to begin in the coming days.

The filing is part of Maynilad’s ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements for the proposed IPO. The preliminary prospectus includes comprehensive information about the company’s business operations, financial performance, and corporate governance, and has been made publicly accessible through Maynilad’s official website, in line with SEC and PSE disclosure rules.

“We are proud to reach this point in Maynilad’s story,” said Ramoncito S. Fernandez, Maynilad President and CEO. “From the beginning, our mission has been to deliver safe, sustainable, and reliable water and wastewater services to our customers. The submission of our preliminary prospectus represents another milestone in that mission—allowing broader public participation in our growth while ensuring full regulatory transparency and compliance.”

Maynilad emphasized that the IPO remains subject to the completion of all regulatory processes, including the issuance of a pre-effective letter from the SEC and a Notice of Approval from the PSE.

The upcoming offering, once approved, is expected to be one of the most closely watched listings in the utilities sector, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s role as the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines.
