Maya, the Philippines’ number one digital bank and all-in-one fintech platform, has teamed up with global airport services provider Dragonpass to simplify premium travel for Filipinos—bringing worldwide airport lounge access directly into the Maya app for Maya Black Credit Card holders.

The partnership introduces the country’s first fully in-app global lounge access experience. With just a few taps on the Lounge Access tile, cardholders can instantly generate a QR code and enter participating lounges around the world.

There is no separate sign-up process, no additional apps to download, and no physical cards to present—just a seamless, app-based experience designed for modern travelers who value convenience as much as comfort.

“Maya Black reflects our goal to make premium experiences truly accessible,” said Shailesh Baidwan, President of Maya Group and Co-Founder of Maya Bank. “Through Dragonpass, our customers can now enjoy global lounge access directly from the app they already use for their everyday banking—proof that financial innovation can be both practical and delightful.”

Dragonpass echoed this vision of frictionless travel. “This initiative with Maya represents the future of travel convenience,” said Emre Dilmen, Chief Commercial Officer of Dragonpass. “By integrating lounge access directly within the Maya app, we’re merging world-class travel experiences with everyday digital banking. Together, we’re making premium travel effortless for more Filipinos—right from the app they already trust.”

Through this collaboration, Maya becomes the first fintech platform in the Philippines to embed global lounge access within its app via API integration. The move marks another milestone in Maya’s push to democratize premium banking by combining financial services, travel benefits, and lifestyle rewards into one cohesive digital experience.

Each Maya Black cardholder receives one complimentary lounge pass per quarter, redeemable at participating airports in the Philippines and abroad. The benefit complements a growing suite of Maya Black features designed around control, security, and rewards, including a numberless card design, real-time spend management, AI-powered fraud protection, and high-value Maya Miles.

By transforming what was once a complex and exclusive travel privilege into a simple in-app feature, Maya highlights how thoughtful innovation can elevate everyday moments—making banking not just smarter, but more human.

The launch of Maya Black also reflects a broader shift in the Philippine credit landscape. For many Filipinos, access to credit cards has long been limited. Data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas shows that 56 percent of adults found it difficult to obtain a credit card in 2021, while TransUnion reports that only 15 percent held one as of 2023.

Maya is working to change that narrative through digital-first credit access paired with meaningful lifestyle benefits—turning once-exclusive privileges into experiences that are now just a tap away.
