President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said the government remained fully engaged in addressing public needs, as he led an aid distribution event in Makati City on Monday.
He made the remarks during the “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” program, where 23 barangays received Php 200,000 each under the Socio-Civic Projects Fund, with portions earmarked for local scholarship support.
About 13,571 families also received 10 kilograms of rice each under government assistance efforts, with distribution set to continue on a regular cycle.
Marcos said the administration remained focused on delivering services and was continuously working on programs for communities nationwide.
He also encouraged citizens to raise concerns directly with government agencies so these could be assessed and addressed when possible.
Presidential scholars received Php 20,000 each as part of the education assistance program during the event.
Marcos urged the students to prioritize their studies, stressing that education would remain with them for life and serve as long-term security.
He said the government would continue rolling out similar assistance programs as part of its ongoing social support initiatives.
