President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the establishment of round-the-clock public assistance desks at major transportation terminals nationwide from October 29 to November 3 to ensure immediate assistance to passengers during the Undas 2026 holiday period.
The directive aims to strengthen passenger safety, improve travel convenience, and provide accessible assistance to thousands of Filipinos traveling to their home provinces or visiting cemeteries to commemorate All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
Under the directive, help desks will operate 24 hours a day to address passenger concerns, provide travel information, and coordinate assistance for travelers experiencing difficulties during their journeys.
The measure forms part of the government’s preparations for the anticipated increase in passenger volume at bus terminals, seaports, and other major transportation hubs during the holiday period.
Government agencies and transport authorities are expected to coordinate their operations to maintain peace and order, monitor passenger movement, and respond promptly to emergencies.
The administration has emphasized the importance of ensuring that transportation facilities remain safe, orderly, and accessible, particularly for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and families traveling with children.
The 24/7 assistance desks will remain operational until November 3, covering the period when travelers are expected to return to their respective workplaces and residences following the Undas observance.
The initiative supports the administration’s efforts to provide safer, more comfortable, and more convenient travel for the public during one of the country’s busiest holiday periods.
