President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. personally inspected the ongoing construction of the new school building at San Francisco High School in Quezon City, signaling the government’s push to fast-track the project ahead of School Year 2026–2027.
The inspection was conducted alongside key education and infrastructure officials, including Sonny Angara of the Department of Education, Vince Dizon of the Department of Public Works and Highways, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, and school principal Marissa Nava-Rodriguez.
During the visit, officials reviewed construction progress and reaffirmed their commitment to completing the new facility before the next academic year begins. The rebuilt structure will significantly expand capacity, increasing the number of classrooms to 36 from the previous 12, a move aimed at easing chronic overcrowding at the campus.

In addition to the government-led project, the SM Foundation is set to complement the effort by constructing an additional 24 classrooms, further boosting the school’s ability to accommodate its growing student population.
San Francisco High School’s main building was destroyed by fire on June 15, 2025—just one day before the official opening of School Year 2025–2026—forcing students and teachers to cope with disrupted learning spaces. The ongoing reconstruction represents a major step toward restoring and improving the school’s facilities beyond pre-fire conditions.
