ManageEngine, the IT management division of Zoho Corporation, has introduced major improvements to its Log360 security platform. The upgrade is designed to help security teams focus on real threats by reducing the flood of unnecessary alerts that often overwhelm them.
A recent Google-commissioned study found that more than 60% of cybersecurity teams are buried in irrelevant alerts, with over half of cloud-related warnings turning out to be false alarms. This constant “noise” not only slows down response times but also causes stress and burnout for security analysts.
“Security teams today don’t struggle to collect data—they struggle to find what really matters,” said Manikandan Thangaraj, vice president at ManageEngine. “We rebuilt our system so teams can filter out useless alerts while still catching real attacks. This means faster responses and better protection.”
The new Log360 features include:
- A central detection dashboard that brings together all rules, analytics, and threat intelligence in one place.
- Over 1,500 prebuilt detection rules that are continuously updated from the cloud, covering common cyberattack methods.
- Smarter filters that separate critical security events from routine background activity.
- A scalable system design that ensures performance even for large organizations with multiple sites.
These improvements were tested by Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon (ECSO) 911, which manages all 911 calls in Jackson County, Oregon. According to ECSO’s IT manager Corey Nelson, the changes cut down false alerts by 90% and allowed analysts to respond to real threats much faster.
“For a 911 center, security failures can cost lives,” Nelson said. “Log360’s upgrade has helped us focus on real risks, not false alarms.”
With this move, ManageEngine positions Log360 as a powerful tool for modern security operations, giving IT teams the clarity they need to protect organizations around the clock.
