Malacañang has declared June 24, 2025 (Tuesday), a special non-working holiday in the City of Manila in celebration of its 454th founding anniversary.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. authorized the declaration through Proclamation No. 925, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on June 11.
The holiday allows the public to participate in festivities and commemorative events across the city as Manila marks another year since its founding.
Events throughout the day are expected to highlight Manila’s rich history and its role as the nation’s capital.
