The City of Malabon reaffirmed its vision of service-driven and future-ready governance as Mayor Jeannie N. Sandoval successfully delivered the two-part Ulat sa Malabueño, a comprehensive report that highlighted both the city’s concrete accomplishments and its evolving identity.
The first part of the address unfolded as a morning anchored on faith, public service, and accountability, as the city leadership presented a detailed overview of completed projects and ongoing programs of the local government. It also recognized the collective efforts of communities on the ground, honoring the city’s top-performing barangays and outstanding Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children for their role in safeguarding youth welfare.
Key public service milestones were also marked during the program, including the turnover of a new WEDC rescue vehicle and the blessing of newly acquired public service and disaster response assets, reinforcing the city’s preparedness and emergency response capacity. Social inclusion took center stage with the distribution of educational assistance to 150 children with disabilities, underscoring the city’s commitment to accessible education. The event also featured the symbolic turnover of the School Multi-Purpose Building marker and the blessing of a new facility in Barangay Tañong, reflecting continued investments in education infrastructure.
The second and final part of the Ulat sa Malabueño shifted the spotlight to Malabon’s identity, milestones, and long-term direction as the city approaches major anniversaries. Mayor Sandoval emphasized Malabon’s shared heritage and collective future with the presentation of the official logo and theme for the 25th Cityhood Anniversary and 427th Foundation Anniversary, carrying the message “Malabon@25: Kami ay Malabueño, Ugat ng Kasaysayan, Agos ng Kaunlaran.”
A defining moment of the program was the presentation of City Ordinance No. A11-2025, which formally declares “Malabueño” as the official term for Malabon residents, cementing a shared identity rooted in history and community pride. Cultural performances by students followed, creatively narrating the city’s origins and traditions through dance.
The city’s push for institutional excellence was further highlighted with its journey toward ISO certification, culminating in the ceremonial awarding of the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate by TÜV Rheinland, led by Managing Director Tristan Arwen G. Loveres. The program also recognized leadership and public service, with the CAMANAVA Press Corps conferring Plaques of Appreciation on Mayor Jeannie N. Sandoval and former Congressman Ricky Sandoval.
As a whole, the Ulat sa Malabueño stood as both a record and a roadmap—capturing Malabon’s roots, its present momentum, and its clear direction forward. It reflected a city grounded in history yet firmly committed to quality governance, inclusive growth, and sustained progress for every Malabueño, as Malabon continues to move toward a stronger and more prosperous future.
