Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay personally met with residents of Barangay Olympia during the “Bonding Muna Sa Barangay: Paglingkuran ang Bayan Caravan,” which brought free government services and assistance closer to the community.
During the event, Binay, together with city councilors, department heads, and barangay officials, listened to residents’ concerns, suggestions, and requests through the Mayor’s Corner.
The mayor also greeted residents celebrating their birthdays this month as part of the community engagement activity.
The caravan offered various services, including special assistance from the Mayor’s Office, medical consultations, laboratory testing, and applications and processing for Yellow Cards, Blu Cards, and other special benefit identification cards.
Residents also had access to a local job fair, basic legal consultations, personal care services, veterinary assistance, free clothing for children, and a dedicated kids’ corner.
Meanwhile, affordable rice and other essential commodities were made available through the Kadiwa ng Pangulo program, while tricycle drivers received fuel subsidies.
The initiative aims to improve access to healthcare, financial assistance, employment opportunities, and other city government programs while providing residents an opportunity to directly raise their concerns with local officials.
Through the barangay caravan, the Makati City government continues its efforts to make essential public services more accessible to communities.
