Motorists encountered generally light traffic along the North Luzon Expressway on Friday morning, a day after Christmas, based on monitoring by the tollway operator.
As of 8 a.m., the NLEx Corporation said vehicle volume had eased across most portions of the expressway.
Light traffic conditions were observed at major toll plazas, including Balintawak, Mindanao, and Bocaue.
The San Fernando section also saw smooth flow in both northbound and southbound lanes.
Low vehicle volume extended to the entire NLEx–SCTEx–NLEx Connector system, covering toll plazas and interchanges.
Amid the lighter traffic, congestion developed at the Candaba Viaduct northbound.
The buildup reached around 3.7 kilometers after a vehicular crash occurred on the leftmost lane at about 7:35 a.m.
