Leon Barretto took to social media to share a touching tribute to his sister Claudia Barretto, who recently tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Leon posted several photos and video clips from the intimate ceremony, celebrating not only Claudia’s new chapter but also the deep bond they share as siblings.
Describing Claudia as his “confidant and go-to person,” Leon expressed how much their relationship has shaped who he is today. “I’m truly grateful for how close we’ve become—knowing everything about each other without judgment, only love and comfort. You also raised me in so many ways to become a better man,” he wrote. “You taught me how to talk to girls properly, how to be a gentleman, how to respect the people around me, and so much more.”
Leon went on to say he has witnessed a “rare kind of love” between Claudia and Basti—one that stood the test of time and adversity. “Some people may not see it, but I do. And I know you’ve helped each other become the best versions of yourselves over the years,” he added.
Before concluding his message, Leon reassured his sister that even though she now has someone else to share her life with, he would always be there for her. “Even though someone else will now look after you, as your brother, I won’t ever let you go through life’s challenges alone. I am, and always will be, your biggest supporter and protector. I pray for a happy marriage ahead. Continue to protect your peace and joy—don’t let anyone or anything take that away,” he said.
Claudia replied to her brother’s emotional message in the comments, saying: “I’m incredibly lucky to have you.”
Earlier this week, Claudia and Basti were wed in a private church ceremony attended by close family and friends, including Claudia’s mom Marjorie Barretto, her siblings, and father Dennis Padilla.
Claudia and Basti have been together since 2015, keeping their relationship mostly private through the years. Basti is the son of businessman Martin Ignacio Lorenzo and Leah de Leon Lorenzo. His brother, Mateo Lorenzo, is married to actress Erich Gonzales.
