Laguna Governor Sol Aragones has urged members of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)-Laguna to prioritize high-impact projects as newly elected officers took their oath of office on Tuesday at the Governor’s Office.
Provincial Information Officer Danilo Lucas said the governor gave local chief executives until September 5 to submit their proposals, underscoring the need to align municipal programs with the provincial government’s development agenda.
During the oath-taking, Laguna’s mayors pledged support for initiatives in health, education, tourism, traffic management, flood control, environmental protection, and good governance, placing people at the center of their programs.
Gov. Aragones also highlighted Laguna’s strong investment potential, revealing that several investors are ready to bring opportunities to the province — provided these ventures generate jobs for Lagunenses and ensure tax compliance.
“She emphasized that her administration upholds the values of competence, loyalty, and transparency — principles she expects to resonate at every level of governance,” Lucas said, adding that the governor called for collective leadership to accelerate development across the province.
