Actress and entrepreneur Kiray Celis opened up about the inspiration behind her beauty and wellness brands, emphasizing that her products address the insecurities and needs she personally experiences.
“Normal lang din po ako na tao na may pangangailangan at may mga kakulangan, kaya itong mga products ko po ginawa ko para sa mga kakulangan at mga insecurities natin sa mga katawan natin,” Kiray said during an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN at the launch of her newest brand, Day-Li.
Kiray shared that despite her celebrity status, she faces physical insecurities like everyone else.
“Hindi porket artista tayo ay makinis na agad. Hindi po. May mga tinatago rin tayong pa-chismis sa katawan at mayroon din akong mga insecurities,” she said.
Earlier this year, Kiray launched her first two brands: Hot Babe, a slimming coffee line, and Hello Bloom, a beauty and wellness drink. She has since expanded with Day-Li, a food supplement capsule line offering various health benefits.
When asked about managing her growing business, Kiray stressed the importance of listening to customer feedback.
“Lagi kong sinasabi sa mga tao na nakikinig ako sa mga review at comments ng mga bumibili sakin,” she said. She revealed that customer requests for capsule-based products inspired her to launch Day-Li.
Kiray said she welcomes even negative feedback, using it as motivation to improve.
“Hindi ako nasasaktan sa bad comments. Pinupush ko pa yung sarili ko para mas maganda pa ang mailabas kong produkto,” she shared.
Another key decision Kiray made for her business was to avoid hiring celebrity endorsers. Instead, she chose to keep her products affordable and accessible.
“Yung ipambabayad po natin sa endorser, binabawas ko na lang po sa presyo para mas abot kaya ng masa,” she explained.
Kiray’s business strategy has proven successful. Earlier this year, she revealed she earned ₱8 million within just six months through online sales.
“Agad-agad din po. Kailangang masipag ka lang talaga,” she shared in an interview with MJ Marfori.
Kiray remains hands-on with her business, actively promoting her products through live selling and online platforms.
