Kim Chiu is transforming her personal fashion archive into a platform for giving, as the actress and television host prepares to stage her first-ever closet sale with proceeds earmarked for charity.
Scheduled from January 28 to February 1, the five-day fundraiser will offer the public a rare chance to browse pieces straight from Chiu’s own wardrobe. The items range from everyday outfits to looks she has previously worn and shared with fans on social media, giving supporters a glimpse into the style journey she has built over the years in the spotlight.
Chiu announced the initiative through her social media accounts, describing the event as a meaningful “closet clean-out” of pieces she is ready to let go of in order to help others. She said all proceeds from the sale will be donated to charitable causes, underscoring that the event is less about fashion turnover and more about paying it forward.
The sale will be held at Paldo Restaurant along Scout Santiago Street in Quezon City, a venue owned by her It’s Showtime co-host Ryan Bang. Prices are set to be accessible, ranging from P50 to P2,000, allowing fans and bargain hunters alike to take part while supporting a good cause. While Chiu has yet to disclose the specific beneficiary organizations, she emphasized that the funds raised will go directly to charity.
The closet sale adds to Chiu’s long-running record of personal involvement in humanitarian efforts. Beyond monetary donations, she has often taken a hands-on approach, including personally purchasing construction materials for communities affected by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Cebu Province in September last year.
The initiative also comes at a time when Chiu has been navigating public attention on multiple fronts. Earlier this year, she confirmed filing a qualified theft complaint involving a family business matter.
Despite the challenges, the actress has continued to focus on projects that create positive impact, with the upcoming closet sale reflecting her decision to channel attention and resources toward helping others.
By turning her personal collection into a charitable endeavor, Chiu once again places purpose at the center of her public life, inviting fans to take part in an act of generosity—one outfit at a time.
