Filipinos across the UAE are set for another grand homecoming as Kalayaan 2026 returns on June 7, 2026, transforming the Dubai World Trade Centre Halls 1 and 2 into a vibrant showcase of Filipino culture, music, and national pride for what has become the Middle East’s largest Philippine Independence Day celebration.

Carrying this year’s theme, “Feel the Freedom. Share the Peace.”, Kalayaan 2026 promises an unforgettable gathering that celebrates not only Philippine independence but also the enduring spirit and unity of Filipinos living overseas.

Headlining this year’s festivities are actress-singer Arci Muñoz, rising P-pop girl group G22, and P-pop boy band 1st.One, alongside a diverse lineup of cultural performers and Filipino community groups from across the Emirates. Their performances are expected to bring energy, nostalgia, and pride to a stage that has become symbolic for overseas Filipinos.

A large group of diverse people gathered in a modern indoor space, many wearing matching white t-shirts, smiling, and waving at the camera, with colorful background banners displaying the words 'Collaborate' and 'Realize'.

Organized by Emirates Loves Philippines, Infinite Communities, and The Filipino Channel (TFC), the annual event continues to evolve into more than just a celebration — it has become a meaningful gathering place for the Filipino community in the UAE.

Beyond live entertainment, attendees can look forward to immersive exhibits, family-friendly activities, interactive experiences, and the highly anticipated Kalayaan Food Village, where Filipino favorites and multicultural dishes reflect the rich diversity that defines life in the Emirates.

For the more than one million Filipinos living and working across the UAE, Kalayaan has grown into a cherished tradition — a place where families reunite, friendships are strengthened, and cultural roots are celebrated. Over the years, it has drawn professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, diplomats, youth leaders, media organizations, and community advocates into one shared space built around identity and belonging.

“Kalayaan has always been about creating meaningful connections,” said Elena C. Cruz, Founder and CEO of Infinite Communities. “It is a space where culture, collaboration, and shared experiences come together — not only for Filipinos, but for the wider UAE audience as well.”

Momentum for the celebration continues to build following the official launch of Kalayaan 2026 at B-Hub, BurJuman Mall, which gathered government representatives, media partners, and supporters ahead of the highly anticipated event.

Among those present were Honourable Consul General Ambrosio Enciso III of the Philippine Consulate General Dubai and Northern Emirates, Atty. John Rio Bautista, Labour Attaché of the Migrant Workers Office, Ruba Nesly, Head of Content of Emirates Loves Philippines, Audielyn Avecilla-Riola, EMEA Regional Events Business Unit Head of ABS-CBN, along with Infinite Communities leaders Elena C. Cruz and Josie Conlu.

Kalayaan 2026 is backed by key institutions including the Philippine Embassy, Philippine Consulate General Dubai and Northern Emirates, Migrant Workers Office, Dubai Police, Positive Spirit, Hemaya International, and the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs–Dubai (GDRFA Dubai).

Open to all nationalities, Kalayaan continues to stand as a powerful reminder that Filipino identity transcends borders — bringing together communities through culture, heritage, and shared pride no matter where life takes them.

On June 7, Dubai will once again become a vibrant home away from home, where Filipino music, traditions, and unity take center stage in a celebration that resonates far beyond Independence Day.
