Januarius, Hoher Fenster, Megafiber, Team Foretee rule regular play in 28th Philippine Corporate Cup

CORP CUP FAIRWAY BATTLE HIGHLIGHTS

BAGUIO CITY — Januarius, Hoher Fenster, Megafiber, and Team Foretee stamped their class after emerging as regular division champions in the 28th Philippine Corporate Cup at the John Hay Golf Course here.

Januarius topped Division 1 with 313 total points in the annual tournament, which has the Philippine Sports Commission as presenter and Smart John Hay Hotels and Landco as co-presenters. Team Master finished as first runner-up with 288 points, while Avanti Transport Services Inc. placed second runner-up with 268.

In Division 2, Hoher Fenster claimed the championship with 264 points. Master Golfer settled for second place with 258, while Club Nalu came in third with 251.

Megafiber ruled Division 3 after compiling 232 aggregate points, edging RTA Farm 2, which scored 229. Cagayan Valley Golf Association completed the top three with 223.

Team Foretee, meanwhile, captured the Division 4 crown with 209 points. ABZA Konstract and Moto both finished with 204, but ABZA secured second place and Moto wound up third after the tiebreak was applied.

The individual champions in the regular competition also delivered standout performances. Jonar Austria of Januarius led Division 1 with 111 points, while Jernel Rigos of RTA Farm topped Division 2 with 94. Macky Abriol of Hill Station ruled Division 3 with 89, and Joana Melissa Pintoy of ABZA Konstract emerged as the best in Division 4 with 71.

In the Seniors competition, Filgolf.com won the Division 1 title with 287 points. R.O. Builders/RDi Jr Construction 1 placed second with 254, while Altus Wealth Group finished third with 250 in the event, which is also supported by Laus Group Motorbikes, ICTSI/Megafiber, The Turf Company, Golfcart.ph, and Envirocool.

Other senior team champions also made their mark. In Division 2, Pampanga Block Builders Inc. took top honors with 255 points, followed by Pugo Adventure with 253 and Ichiban Subic with 251. In Division 3, Laus Group emerged champion with 219, while Freight Connection Phils. Inc. placed second with 216 and Mars Petroleum came in third with 211.

Among the top individual scorers in the seniors division, Rodel Mangulabnan of Filgolf.com fired 99 points to win Division 1. Rhodel Rivera of Pampanga Block Builders Inc. also scored 99 to capture the Division 2 title, while Romeo Dungca of Laus topped Division 3 with 84 points.

The latest edition of the Philippine Corporate Cup once again showcased the depth of talent and strong team competition in one of the country’s premier corporate golf events.
